maybe i'm confused between trble and the crisp high end....i don't want a tone thats real twangy and scratchy on the ear if you know what i mean....i'm running my fretted fender jazz through a fender 2/10 100 watt combo amp

I just bought my first set of flatwound they are the d addario chromes and they have a blue wrapping around the end where the knobs are....my bass which is a fender jazz and before i bought it the guy had flatwound stringson the bass...which tone i really want back they had black colored ends so...
