Hello, When playing 1/8 notes, do you always let your index and middle finger hit the string beneath the string you are playing? (For muting). For example: playing on the a string and hitting the e string. At higher speeds I have to cheat and can't make contact with the e string. Just curious...

If I turn the tone up around 50% or greater, I get a humming sound from the amp. If I touch the strings or the control knob it pretty much goes away. (no hum when tone is down, even with the J pickup wide open). Just wondering if this is normal interference or if there might be a larger...
