Tonight I fell in love.. With my rickenbacker 4003. It took about 3 weeks to get it dialed in to where I like it. I had a lot of problems at first with the bridge, but after I got that worked out I couldn't be happier. Just thought I'd let you guys know. Never give up! Peace & love -Josh

I need some valid opinions.. I currently have one bass (a 1977 p) and I'm thinking about getting another instrument. I've been leaning towards a PJ for months now, mainly because I want the best of both worlds, but lately I've been looking into a nice jazz bass instead. I need some opinions...

Yeah.. I meant further from the bridge. That's the only reason that's keeping from doing a jazz body

Doesn't the split coil pickup have to be higher if you put it on a jazz body?

I'm building a PJ and I'm looking for some pickups for it. I'm searching for passive pups that would work well for all types of music (especially alt. rock, and rock playing). I play fingerstyle and with a pick (palm muting). So my question to you guys is what should I go after..?
