I met Geddy in late 2000 at the CD signing for My Favorite Headache. He was not present for my experience with the 72 Jazz.

I was instructed not to take any pics and I asked permission to touch it.

I don't have definitive proof . I have almost proof but even if I did put the effort in people probably still would call BS . So people can take my word or not, doesn't really matter , just wanted to share :)

I suppose it isn't a huge deal in the grand scheme ... But it was a pretty spiritual experience. I've been a dedicated Rush fanatic for 17 years and a bass player for just as long . For years I have been captivated by Geddys main instrument... His famed 1972 Jazz Bass. I fell in love with it...

Ive got an opportunity to buy a mid 80's japanese jazz bazz special with emg p/j pup's . The guy is asking 300 for it . Looks like its in great condition... Im curious if this may be a steal ?

It looks like he added pieces of guard around the split pickup where the j pickup was . The headstock is still confusing me
