Ive got an opportunity to buy a mid 80's japanese jazz bazz special with emg p/j pup's . The guy is asking 300 for it . Looks like its in great condition...

Im curious if this may be a steal ?

If the neck is okay, and the truss rod/electronics work, I'd say it's a great deal. Usually those run around the $450 mark.

It's a good deal if it's an '86 or '87 Jazz Special. They came from the factory with Jazz necks on a Precision body with no P/G's. Does it have a painted head stock?

Yeah , black head stock/hardware, maple neck with skunk stripe
