Hello ! I am looking to buy a bass online from a Japanese proxy, I tried buying one via Zenmarket, but they wanted my ID and Bank statements, and I was very iffy on giving that to them. Does anyone know any Japanese proxies that do not need this ?

the only other one I could find was the one at MMR, marked up to 1.5k, I have looked up the sound demos for the aria, and it sounds pretty true to the grabber (to my ear) but i am hesitant to drop that much on one of these. what do you guys think?

I found one with a natural one with a rosewood fingerboard for 1300, is that too expensive ? also i do not know how to feel about a natural ripper with a dark fretboard... idk maybe I'm just too much of a purist !!!!!!!

Lou Barlow uses the ripper on most of the early Dinosaur Jr. Stuff, that's where I find a lot of the inspiration for my sound ! other than him, Krist Novoselic is another huge (haha) point of inspiration

I don't mind you leaning either way !! if you have a bass that sorta sounds/looks like a grabber, but does not even slightly resemble a rick I'd be just as stoked to see it as the other way around !

also btw that flying v bass is gorgeous

i'm not asking for a bass that sounds like a rick AND a grabber, i'm asking for basses that sound like either or a rick OR a grabber :)
