    Ok... here's the final story... Everything works fine.... the hum? Bad patch cord. Lol (that's a noob mistake lol) With the pups being so close together there is not much tonal difference... but im fine with that. mission complete!!! Thanks all!!!

    So... green and white are from the neck coil. I connected everything back up and, again, the pots seemed to cancle one another out, so I swaped out the two wires from one coil. .. and viola!!! New problem is the humming humbucker. Lol I understand that the way to fix this is to swap...

    O.K. I de-soldered the green and checked for resistance... nothing! But i tried all other configurations... this is what I got; Vol 1 off, Vol 2 off= Red, Black, White show resistance Vol 1 on, Vol 2 off= Red and White show resistance Vol 1 off, Vol 2 on= Black and White show resistance Vol...

    Hello, I have a MM style 5 string bass that I had to rewire. I've rewired exactly to this diagram... Link Removed The problem im having is that the two volume controls cancel eachother out. I can have volume 1 full or volume 2 full... but if I have both volumes on the signal drops...
