    Under that Teflon tape is the wind, and the black tape there is holding down the leads. Soldering day is whenever the living room is empty again!

    Got magnets and wood together and ready for winding, (I believe). I need to remember to tape down the "in" lead with a mark so I don't get confused when I inevitably hurriedly tape down the "out" lead to just be done holding wire. Just hope I don't snap the wire!

    I did NOT already know that about upright strings, though I DO know that electric uprights exist so I can still get good strings I believe. I also did plan on some other kind of winding than portrayed, thank you very much for your information!
