It was possible to see my doc today instead of Friday, so i did. He did a full check up on my wrist and fingers. The mobility and strength of the wrist and fingers are normal. He does not suspect any nerve damage or any other underlying disease and suggests that i slowly start working on...

I've just finished about fifteen minutes of one finger one fret exercise. My ring finger actually seems to be functioning normally. It's my pinky that keeps 'drifting wide'. It's as if i'm playing with a bottle cap between my ring finger and my pinky. Which requires me to slightly bend my wrist...

The only thing that i can think of is that i used to some push-ups and weight training, which obviously puts a lot of strain on the wrists.

I've made a doctors appointment for this week. To provide a little bit of context; I'm 24 years old and in good physical shape, so i'm hoping my fingers/wrist can serve me for another 60 without any problems. I will keep you updated, thanks for the kind replies.

Thank you for your advice. I've signed up for 'ScottsBassLessons' to help me with some hardly needed lessons in technique and musical theory, i hope that will prove helpful.

I've just picked up the bass again, i had to quit earlier on due to wrist problems. Overall i've been playing for a year or two, but never had any lessons.
