    Well I ain't no big-city string expert but it seems to me that any change to the string beyond the saddle contact point wouldn't change the vibration of the string at all. That's of course except the change in resonance caused by the difference in string through bridge/body.

    Who likes both rounds and flats equally ?

    Just put some Rotosound flats back on my P after a while using rounds but I might switch the E back to round. With my style of play it seems to cause a lot of clickety clack on the E when unamplified. I'll have to see how it sounds through my amp when I play the jam I have coming up.

    I used to use Rotosound flats on my P bass for a long time. I only stopped using them because I had forgotten how the bass sounded with roundwounds and my curiosity got the better of me. They are definitely worth the cash, if not for the sound then primarily because you never have to change...
