NBbD!

No, not A# - I changed the body on my P(arts) bass. Everything else is the same, including strings. I was amazed at how close the set-up was. Just a small amount of tweaking the action and intonation and voila! CAR becomes LPB, ready to go. Took about 30 minutes (26 screws), without set-up.

The CAR body is a 2008, the LPB a 2010. Bass now weighs 8.5 lbs., down from 9. I haven't played it standing up yet, but it feels more comfortable on my right arm, FWIW.
Notice the difference in the color of the neck. It must be due to the light at the time of day. Same camera (no flash), same backyard - everything the same - except the LPB body. The color is actually a lot warmer.

Maybe I should replace the 1/4 lb. with the SPB-1... Nah!
I'm happy with it the way it is, and at 8.5 lbs. I think I'll stay happy for a while.
Maybe I should sign the back of the headstock!
Although I do think I'll put on a bridge cover when I'm finished tweaking the action.
Here's another pic, more accurate color. Notice the flakes in the LPB. Not as big as the SH sig., but definitely metallic.

I also notice the '10 body seems thinner than the '08, about the same thickness as my '71 Jazz.
