I havent got a spare set of power tubes, but i think i have spare driver/preamp tubes, should i bother trying to change them, is there any chance at all that this could be the fault?

My Fender Custom Jazz Bass is shielded like **** (hopefully i can get myself out of my lazy ass and get this fixed soon!), but as mentioned, the sound (hum?) in sample 1 is also present when nothing is plugged in. But hopefully this gets better when changing the tubes or biasing :)

I know that the Ampeg SVT-CL can be noisy, but how normal are these noises? I suspect that something should be fixed, maybe you could tell me what did the problem could be. The first noise is when i switch it on from Standby (you can hear the fan, but i i know that the fan is supposed to be loud...

About the horror stories: i took the time to read a few reviews, and they are kind of scaring me away because of all the malfunctions. One of the plus sides of moving away from tube amps are the low maintainance, and in some cases more reliability, but i'm kinda getting cold feet with the Pro 7...
