Well since I put this bass on the classifieds, I have played it a few times. I'm having second thoughts about selling it. This is such a great instrument. I am going to wait to sell this for a period of time to see if I play it more.

I've tried to find smaller bridges for a bass I want to make with narrow string spacings but only have found a Hofner. The Hofner style is sort of cool, though, using frets and fret slots on wood. I don't know what it would sound like on a solid body, though.

Maybe you are set on having a 5 string. However if you are willing to consider this as a transitional instrument allowing for recovery time maybe you could considered a Hofner style?
