p and j bass fanatic here, just recently got a 4003. It's seriously like going from Strat to Les Paul. Less versatile but more sustain. With overdriven tones the 4003 really stands out IMHO.

I used to own one of these! Only sold it due to back issues. I loved the passive stingray tone so much I bought a passive BFR stingray special. Man what a beast the classic 5 is though, I miss mine.

I'll second this. I have TI Flats on my Stingray Classic 5 (strung E-C) and they sound great.

I am usually a fan of solid color guards, but that looks pretty sick.
