I figured the Fender call support was a little off on this. Your time and effort in putting the doc are apparent; a tremendous thanks for doing & sharing this. Question: Is it possible the securing screws may eventually float due to the varying-use pressure on the bottom-side of the screw...

Secretly I was hoping that was case (attached to the bridge and not body-tapped). Getting my ink & pen set and an old bridge out now...

Ordering one regardless, however wondering if the string mute is 1) attached to the bridge, or 2) attached directly to the body. I called Fender today; they “believe” it comes un-mounted and isn’t body-fixed (?). I didn’t leave the call with a Whole Lotta Confidence in the answer... Any help...

Is the mute attach to the bridge or drilled directly into the body? Going to order one thru Sweetwater; an inquiry call today to Fender support was inconclusive...

Thanks; I suspected the only difference was weight (always a good thing). Definitely looking at the singles-NYC; glad to hear the PUs/pre-amp steps up.

My iPhone 11 told me today it’s time to get another bass; looking at a Sadowsky 5-21 (with a chambered body). Current/previous owners: How does the chambering affect tone to any degree if any vs. non-chambered Jazz ash/alder bodies? Thanks in advance✌
