Last June I commissioned an amazing artist called Mathias Chau to do some work on a couple of my basses. It was a waiting list of a year before I could drop off the bodies and then a few months of work before I got them back last week. Suffice it to say they are *so* rad. Couldn't be happier...

I had low expectations of the Fender Downtown Express, but it turns out I *love* it. I don't always use a preamp pedal, but when I do it's now my go-to. For my vibe, I like it better than the BDDI. Plus it has some pretty decent FX. It really is just a matter of taste, obviously.
