    I can’t speak for the vintage basses mentioned here but my Gibson Les Paul Junior DC bass with a Hipshot replacement bridge and LaBella 760FL-S flat wound strings sounds like a beast!

    I’m happy with my Gibson Les Paul Junior DC bass with a Hipshot replacement for Gibson’s stock 3-point bridge and use LaBella 760FL-S strings and play with a pick! The sound is wicked!
