Do any of you know this string? It is a white wound G with purple silks and knot rather than a ball end. It feels gut or silk. It sounded great.

Yep I got no response from them. It sucks because I really liked the sound and tension. Anybody have a good Garbo A string they can spare. Tempted to order some Red Diamonds.

This just has to be form southern Louisiana! It has some nice woodwork and actually played ok, you just could not hear it. It looked like the neck would unbolt. Only in a Woodville Texas pawn shop!

I contacted the man with that site. He is 100% sure Ammon Meinel built the bass. Nobody seems to have a clue on value. I realize it's not a 200 year old traditional bass but Ammon was surely not traditional. It has binding around the top and back. His archtop guitars were works of art as well...
