You guys keep mentioning "blowing up your amp"... How the hell do you that? I don't feel like I take any "special" precautions when playing through my rig....I use pedals and multiple basses, etc... What are the common mistakes or things people do to destroy a rig?

I'm not a fan of EMG's, but outside of that, the preamp has an switch that will let the pickups be passive...and from what I read emg's don't go passive. So...thats why they are out.

Yes and no. I changed basses thinking it may be a bass issue. And replayed them all again. Active music man style basses. 5 string.
