    Ibanez GSR200 Re-Finish

My parents gave this bass to me for my 5th birthday, it was the first instrument I owned and I played it nearly every day for 15 years.. then I bought a P-Bass. Unfortunately, this Ibanez sat in a corner and collected dust for four years. I decided the other day to give it a little facelift and...

Great budget P-Bass pickups (TE-08 Tone Emporium)

really? that's what you took out of this whole post? hahah. it also has better function, in my experience.. as it doesn't coil, get all stiff & trip over itself while you route it. it's a little cleaner & easier to solder with! but originally, i was talking about a very cheap pickup here, where...

Great budget P-Bass pickups (TE-08 Tone Emporium)

Hey guys, Long time lurker of this site, and I don't post or comment often but recently my tone was sounding stale to me and I decided I wanted a small pickup upgrade. I play a Squier P Bass (through an Acoustic B200h), which has been heavily modified over the years. The original thing I had...

    DIY bass cabinets

I'm thinking of building a 4x10 bass cabinet, just as a fun project for my friend and I over the winter. (He'll be putting together his own guitar cabinet). I just had a few questions regarding DIY bass cabs. 1) How many of you have done this before? Are you happy with the results? Anything...

Need help identifying what this is!

Will do! Thanks for the information. I have no qualms about this ever living up to a real rickenbacker, so I'm taking another users advice and turning it into a fenderbacker, hahah! I'm definitely going to check out Luthiers Corner. I've always been more focused on the guts of an instrument, but...

Need help identifying what this is!

I started peeling away some of the protective outer coating and upon a closer look I found that they had put two small wooden blocks where the pickup would have been! I took a photo, you can clearly see where it has been sectioned off. Not sure how I missed that!

Club RickenFaker / FakenBacker - Show Your Fake Rics!

I bought a Rickenbacker copy (body only) for $CA20.00 the other day and was wondering if anybody here would be able to help identify it? I have started a thread and was informed of this group. Need help identifying what this is!

Initial thoughts are that it is just a one pickup Rickenbacker copy, that may or may not have had another pickup. Due to the four knobs and switch. I think it's modeled after the 4000, so the bottom of the neck would most likely be under the pick guard... although I can't see any screw holes on...
