I'm fairly certain the material the strings have direct contact with when vibrating has no influence upon how it sounds. Obviously.

And not everyone likes their bass to look like a pastel coloured toy. I wonder if some of you also find classical string instruments to look like furniture.

I kinda stumbled here after coming across one of Mike Flynn's videos on youtube by chance. His Sei Jazz is just too goddamned beautiful and sounds so nice. I've never lusted after an instrument so much before and I don't even play bass, I'm a guitar player. At this rate I'm going to end up...
