Which attachment is that? I'd gotten up to grit 2500 and then attempting Dremel (using the little round soft wheel, not sure if this is rag or felt!) That resulted in quite substantial messiness. Tbh, I was going to revisit the sanding / start again (I had sanded in circles, I'll go back with...

Can I ask, what would you use to polish the pickguard? I’ve worked through grits 800-2500, I clearly don’t have the polishing tools tho! Cheers!

Cheers Bruce, saw your comment later, AS IF I’m going to give up, obvs this has already cost more than a new pickguard but by this point I’m hardly in it to save pennies. This has become personal!:laugh:

Here to confirm scratch-x is not great bought a p bass, came with a heavily picked pickguard, curious if I could remedy it. Bought some meguiars after a google. Original scratches remained. Now the whole darned pickguard was covered in microscratches in swirls. Bought meguiars £6...
