    All-time greatest Geddy Lee bassline?

Hands-down, Digital Man off of 1982’s signals. Now I know a lot of you are going to be scratching your heads at this, but throw on some headphones and put this track on - it has everything - amazing improv, snarl, attitude, melody.. and that tone! oh my God! I’m pretty sure that’s his jazz...

2 x Squier Paranormal Rascal HH Basses - Small Customizations, BIG Results

I love it! I'm a bit obsessed with single PU basses. This looks fantastic.

    Good rounds for a mustang?

I actually A/B'd the D'Addario EXL 170mm XL with the GHS pure Nickel 32" and found the GHS to be quite a bit more tame and even produced a lower volume when plucking. The D'Addario's while very slightly less tension over all have a more up front present tone. I prefer them.

Comparing the Fender JMJ road worn Mustang, Vintera ll Mustang, American Classic Mustang

I fear I might fall into this category. I actually thought this vid was pretty cool. I know man, I need to be writing music not falling further into the SUCK HOLE! Even if there are mustang basses in it!

Comparing the Fender JMJ road worn Mustang, Vintera ll Mustang, American Classic Mustang

Funny, I haven't giggled with my JMJ yet so I haven't even put a strap on it!! Could have some neck dive with that thick neck/headstock.

Comparing the Fender JMJ road worn Mustang, Vintera ll Mustang, American Classic Mustang

I have recently gone down a deep dive with the Fender Mustang bass. I started by ordering a JMJ and spending a bit of time with it. After a week or so I was able to play a Vintera ll at the local Guitar center. And after another week or so, I was actually able to play one of the new American...

    Fender Mustang

Ha! I could’ve sworn I heard a difference, but I do believe it’s because I adjusted the strings to be directly over the poles. Thanks dudes. I do prefer the look of the exposed poles so I’ll probably leave it that way and risk physical insult.

    Fender Mustang

Oh yes.. especially with the strings directly over the poles. I've played it up and down the neck for a couple hours and no problems.

    Fender Mustang

My new JMJ model. I am a tinkerer. Cant help it. Witch hat knobs. Pick up covers removed for a little more crispy top end. If I end up keeping the covers off, I will wrap the copper wiring with some pick up tape to protect the coil… Just testing things now. Vintage threaded barrels for wider...

    G&L out of business?

Yeah.. I own a couple of the 80s/90s G&L basses with the old body style. They just looked cooler than they do now. I know that's a stupid thing to say, but I think one of the main reasons they're not more popular is the body shapes on the main instruments: L1000, L2000 are just not really...

This Lollar P Pickup is worth it

I know i'm late to this thread but i'm 100% in agreement. Not a better P replacement pickup out there. Every time I think of trying something else, I remember the dozen or so Pickups I a/b'd only to discover the Lollar crushes them all with warmth, presence and a nice little top end crispness...
