Recently bought a used Warwick Thumb from 1994, it plays amazing but the electronics don't seem to be working properly. For example when I turn the volume knob I get a really loud "white noise" sound when it isn't either maxed or off completely. And the treble pot can't be turned from the 12...

It's an Ibanez SR756 with a PJ configuration with Nordstrand pickups with an active preamp, quite nice in my opinion and it's worked flawlessly up until now.

That was my first thought as well, I am gonna keep them on for a while longer and see if it gets better with time, I can't even touch the knobs without it making noise.
