    I have the same problem, buzzing that goes away when I touch the strings. Can someone explain to me what shielding is and does it have a "home" remedy? Thanks! Wayne

    Musicmaster pickup

    I have to replace my pickup in my 60s Musicmaster bass. I am going for a cleaner sound (the old pickup is for a six string quitar done by a previous owner). Any suggestions? Cheap is good by the way.

    Painted Bass

    I think I may have screwed up, I took an old Musicmaster bass and painted it. If I can get the "new"paint off should I? Can I get "authentic" Fender paint and just cover up the current paint job?
