Maybe we have the right idea in the UK calling them scratchplates and avoiding all this confusion? :eek: Although I assume it was a practical cheap way to hide the electrics and duff routing it just looks right now. I wouldn't consider a rear routed P or Jazz; they just look wrong.

This is mine. Artec humbucker, CTS pots, Switchcraft jack, Status tape wound strings, tuners off eBay and scratch plate by Howard the Bassdoc.

I got a set of Tapewounds for not too much from Status in the UK for mine. Hot Wires IIRC. E string is 105 so no real problem with the nut but I did have to drill out the hole in the bridge to fit the end windings through. Good length and no need to trim.

Hi, What constitutes tricked out? I have a Bronco with new pick up, CTS pots, switchcraft jack, Rattlecan gold pickguard and (once delivered) elephant ear tuners. Does that count?

I don't play the same stuff you do but I absolutely love my CV 50s. I restrung it with Fender tape wounds.
