The 4 ohm cab is rated at 500 watts (450 watts is the max my amp will push at a 2 ohm load), and the 8 ohm cab is rated at 300 watts, so I think it will be all good. Again guys, I really appreciate the help.

I am using a Peavey Max 450 for the amp. So you guys are saying it will drop the load to 2.67 ohms? Since the Peavey is 8, 4, or 2 ohm capable it should handle this I presume! Thanks again for your help!

I have an 8ohm Hartke VX410 that I blew a speaker in last year, and have since bought a 4ohm Avatar 212 Neo cab (amazing speaker box by the way). I would like to get the speaker replaced in the 410, and was wondering if it would be wise to hook up a 4ohm cab with an 8ohm. Any help would be...
