Amazing instruments and yours does look to be special. I have an MB2 as well as a fretless Mouse and have to say that, whilst the MB2 is phenomenal, the Mouse is my favourite of the two. There is something special about a Mouse IMO. Enjoy;)

+1. And the guy's a genius so there's no such thing as a bad RA.

I think you're right although both of mine are the only RA's I've played (due to being in the UK) so it's difficult to say. Rob says that the Mb2 is the lightest he's made so I guess that's a factor too.

Ok - one month on and I'm establishing the differences between my Mouse and Mb2. Here goes... Believe it or not, the Mb2 is significantly lighter than the Mouse. The tone is, again suprisingly, much woodier and slightly thinner than the Mouse. As expected, the attack is greater. Another...

Actually the gig went well. Except for me forgetting my pedal board and turning back around in LA traffic halfway there. Played a few tunes on acoustic, then flipped to bass, then mostly electric guitar for the rest of the night, except for a mini set back on bass. And of course this was with a...

I think it's very easy to underestimate the Mouse. It is a phenomenal bass and very nearly half the price of the Deep. Although whether the Deep is nearly twice as good is a question for Nostatic and others, I guess...;)

Black hardware is a must for me since getting my Mb2. Regarding the extended fingerboard, I've noted that since moving exclusively to Rob's basses (I own no other type now) I've developed a floating thumb technique. As such, neither the ext.fingerboard on my fretless Mouse or the thumb rail (yet...

I'll be sorting a deposit for a fretted Mouse too very soon. I actually want something very similar to the one you describe -a top that's out of the ordinary, walnut neck, black hardware etc. Probably won't go for the f-hole - not sure this would help achieve what I want the fretted for, that...

The vintage P-Bass vibe is what I'm after. Are you familiar with Marvin Gaye's 'What's Going On' album? That's the feel I'd like to recreate with a RA twist. Possible with a fretted mouse? I can hear it would be with a fretted Mb2...

+1 regarding the playing short. The Solid doesn't appeal to me cosmetically as much. I love my Mouse and could be tempted by a fretted one if it's punchy enough. Save me a few dollars too;)
