    Why do folks cut strings?

Exactly! I never even knew that there were people out there selling used strings! That's just crazy...

Warwick RockBass Streamer NT1 - who have one?

You made the right decision! I have the 5 string version fretless of this bass, not with the ebony fingerboard, but with a converted wenge board, which adds quite a bit of warmth. These are true sleeper basses! Not to be snobbish about it, but chances are a rockbass for over a grand will not...

How are Pink Floyd considered PROG rock?

So, when or if a prog band becomes successful, it's no longer prog? I'm sure Marillion would like to know about that ;-) That said, I believe Pink Floyd has prog elements, chief amongst which the concept album...

5 string basses should be 35” scale

It's all a matter of build quality (and taste to a certain extent) - I have owned several 35' 5 string basses, and they were all rubbish (expensive, too). Eventually, I found the perfect 5 string bass (fretless as well), and guess what, it has a 34' scale length and a phenominally tight B string...

Okay, let's be honest, is there a bass that you always have lusted after?

I made up my mind: I prefer lined fretless.

I totally understand! I only play fretless, and half of my basses are lined and the other half is unlined. When I have a gig that requires me to be at the top of my game, I take a lined fretless Spector with me (if not for anything else than mental comfort :-)). How does the Glarry stack up to...

    Why a Jazz bass?

Hi Oobly, I'm afraid my post isn't going to help you AT ALL, because I have loved the Fender Jazz-sound all of my life (and have tried to get used to the idea of playing one, to no avail), but I've always found that other brands did it better. This is purely a matter of personal taste, I have...

Popular Rock or metal songs played with fretless

Damn, forgot about this one - epic! Played it for quite some years, only to find out that it was sampled :-(

For Sale Musicman Stingray Unlined Fretless

Hi, I can't imagine this one hasn't found a new owner yet, but here goes: Is it still for sale? Would you ship to Sweden? Thanks, all the best!
