Going back to the initial question, I checked his stage rider (Just google it) and apparently he uses Schoeps CCM4V Compact cardiod. This is according to his 2011 Stage rider so it may have changed sinde then... A bit pricey for my pockets but it sounds really good for him. Invalid Link Removed...
