For anyone that's interested I bit the bullet and went with the Ampeg SGT-DI. Expensive, but it does what I want and includes an IR loader for speakers/cabs. I've paired it with a Line 6 HX One and put it on a Pedaltrain Nano that I already had. The combination sounds really good and is quite small.

Your problem is "implied intention". If you weren't specfic from the start it's hard to blame people for wanting to change things.

I love the idea of the Origin Effects Fifteen, but at €500 it's too expensive. It there anything else that would offer an Ampeg B-15 amp & 1x15 speaker sound? Ideally with an XLR direct out but I could always just use a direct box. If there is a B-15 amp-in-a-box available there are IT loader...

I can see giving them a second chance but how do you explain buying pedals three and four?
