I put a brass nut on my Rickenbacker in1976. Loved it, still do. And btw, it gives the strings more sustain than a high mass bridge, for sure.

Thanks, I too have recently bought the Player Series PBass. I had asked on this forum what were the advantages in tone with the high mass bridge. But, the only answers I got was about sustain, and not answering my question. I too love the punch and tone as is. I’m not sure what all the hype is...

Not only do they look great, but the have a better sound, (a little brighter, with more growl if needed)
