For the love of Maple...

My first real Bass, a Gibson Ripper, had a Maple board...

I think if you play a solid P Bass, you most likely have a Maple board and flats on it...

Roger Waters knows what I'm saying...!

Currently, my super solid P Bass has Rosewood and nickel rounds...(but sounds fabulous with a Peter Florence Voodoo pickup and projects across the room unamplified.)

I did play an '08 Fender Jazz with Black/Maple and Lawrence SCN pickups /East J-RETRO for a solid 5 years of gigging...then dropped it for a Fender '57 RI P...hand always felt cramped on a Jazz! lol

I can never seem to get into a matching color finish on a Maple/Maple neck...I've tried for years, too!

My 5'er has Wenge/Wenge now...exotic Maple...I guess..??
