Maple Fingerboard Love!

I love your Geddy Lee! I love maple boards. They look so pure. Here's my three:
I generally prefer the look of maple over other fretboards. Can't bet maple love!

I absolutely love the look of it!
I'm a huge fan of maple fingerboards. Great cut and presence in the mix.

So, @Dr. Cheese, would the Carvin's fretboard be considered quilted maple? That thing is gorgeous. 
I have 3 basses with maple boards. Remember, maple gives you a little more ‘click’,
so if you play with your fingers, maple brightens up your attack so that you get a little
more ‘definition’. If you play with a pick, you’ll get even more ‘click’.

It’s Birdseye maple, and yes, it is beautiful.
Do you mean the Peavey? It may be out, or it maybe defretted and have a new pick guard.

I've only ever seen it in pictures and the examples I've seen tend to be very pronounced with the little round "eyes". Not to imply anything bad.. as it is a beautiful piece of wood for certain.
Love Maple, then Ebony. Here's a shot of my two; I don't have one of the Maple basses alone.
