Then getting that Player Bass, which was unbeatable in terms of playability, and later installing the Vintera II pickups, might be the most logical way to approach my problem. Can you help me find those 50s Vintera II pickups? I searched online but couldn't find them for sale.

Thank you all. It's not that I don't like the neck on the Vintera, because I played two vinteras but one had a much fatter neck, even though they are supposed to be the same on paper. The other one was beefy too, but very comfortable to play, unfortunately it had a red finish, which I didn't like.
