Thanks. I was actually trying to avoid the ones with the cut out for the truss rod but good to know that is an option if I can't find something else.

Anybody recommend where to get a Tort pickguard for the Player Series Jazz Bass?

The neck is definitely thicker than a jazz at the nut/first fret. I equate it to a P-bass depth with Jazz width if that makes sense?

I use to have this model cab. It was killer. I think I bought it off of eBay for 150 bucks.

I use to have a TC, and with the back seats down, I could get an old Traynor 2x15 cab, head and bass in the back. It was really easy to load too. I always put a towel over the bumper though before I loaded the cab in. I would "assume" an 8x10 would fit back there. I wish I had a picture of the...

I personally love these cabs. They tend to break up pretty quick, which I like.

You should be fine. You definitely don't want to get a 4x10 4ohm cabinet unless you want to run that exclusively without the internal 2x10s. I don't think phasing applies in this instance since you're using the same sized speakers.
