I talked to Marty Bell and he really urged me to send it to Scott Lentz in CA. To get it restored to original finish. Scott uses the same lacquers that they used in '66 so it would be restored instead of just refinished. Thanks for all the input from you TBers. It helped a lot.

My bass is a 1966 Fender P Bass, I want to refinish it to its original sunburst I'll never sell it. I'll probably be buried with it. I bought it new in 1967. For some stupid reason I painted it black in the mid '70's, and in my old age I would like to have it look like it did back then.
