Talk to car respray place, if they can do it, but haven't done it before, they might cut you a deal for giving them a break into the field. Or spray it along with a car, not much effort for them.
What is it and what kind of finish do you want? Look up Denny Rauen- he's in Milwaukee but he's really, really good.

It might, but I'll never sell it. I'll probably be buried with it. I bought it new in 1967. For some stupid reason I painted it black in the mid '70's, and in my old age I would like to have it look like it did back then.
That made a lot of sense, bringing your old warhorse back to its original glory...

You could mail the body to fender and have them refinish it. It might be expensive but with a nice vintage peice like that it might be worth it. Ive read on their website that they will do that.
I checked the Fender site and it looks like the don't refinish them any more. Damn that was a good idea!
