+1 on the EV ND468!! It's my go to mic for bass - does a killer job on my 1x15 bass cab. I also use it for guitar cabs when I want a nice tight focused sound. Agree with the earlier poster that placement is as important as mic choice. I picked it up new on ebay for $120 on a best offer...

Anyone have any idea what I should pay for 1 of these in good condition? I know it's not the best 1x15 around, but they don't sound horrible and I can get it cheeeep!!

I'll check out the Ashdown Mag - I've heard lot's of good things about it. What about the Avatar 210? Since I'm going to be moving this rig around a fair bit, I'd like to hold the weight down as much as possible.
