I've had this unit B1X Four for a couple of weeks now. I've only made one custom sound save in the #57 patch location. I haven't tweaked or replaced any of the original factory patches. Just curious for those that have had this unit for awhile, how many original factory patches do you have left...

I would start with the Glamcomp patch, add a little bit of drive and a manual wah. That's what I'm hearing in my head anyways. I recall reading the linear notes on that album that Chris used a stereo effect. One side mostly un process and the other side heavily processed.

Ha! Luckily I own my own business so during this slow winter (seasonal business), I've been bringing my bass to work quite regularly. I play in my back warehouse area.

Gary Numan's song Cars. All melodic parts played on bass and through the BOSS SY-1 synth pedal. Only one part (the lead dreamy strings) were played on the keyboard in Garage band.

So I got inspired to recreate Gary Numan's song, Cars using the BOSS SY-1 pedal. In the following track, there are 5 sounds from the SY-1 and 1 dry bass sound. The string lead sound is from Garageband. Unfortunately the SY-1 lacks a warm, dreamy string sound.

Ya, I heard that too. Amazing what you find out about song origins many years later.
