My wife and several of the Rice students have them. I have to second what everyone says. It is an excellent instrument, especially in that price range. My wife absolutely loves hers, especially the E and A string. It responds well to an extension, too.

Sorry to come to the discussion so late. It's a 29' folding stool sold by Wal-Mart and made by "Wen's Champion Ent. Co." in Taiwan. Model number FSC-29. My wife has that exact stool and loves it. Unfortunately, it no longer seems to be on the market, either at Wal-Mart, Target, or online...
