Seriously nice kit ... and, of that I have absolutely no doubt. Now if I could afford this kit (sigh....:rollno:), ... then I could afford a bigger, detached house, where noise level would not be any kind of inhibiting factor! Sadly I'm talking more Vox Pathfinder than Mesa Walkabout...

Yes! This is exactly what I'm talking about..! And yes, I've read good stuff about these here at talkbass, and no! They are not exactly readily available here so much which is a real disappointment.

I absolutely entirely agree... almost. In any other circumstance I wouldn't want to go near that low output, but ... I also don't like running an amp with some decent heft with the dial right down. It really is only to go against other 'practice' level living room (sitting room in US? Not sure)...

No contest, keep the beard. Hell, the face fur rocks, As do your specs mate. Only shave it if you want to see how much you regret it.

The 112? Why haven't I looked at that.. Thank you I'll see whether there are any display models locally, or good used, as a new one might be too much of a stretch financially in the UK with our ridiculous pricing.

Nice one cheers, for some reason I'd only focused my search on posts here, hadn't considered reviews outside of talkbass.

Me neither, but in the right circumstances, using a Hartke HS1200 / Kickback 15* is totally adequate against the drummer. We ain't pro's! edit - but if it ain't then I too go through the PA.... depends on the circumstances, only had to do that once. * the 15" 120 watt version

Just a thought - I see where you're coming from regarding being head over the PA. I'll expand, the singer and drum loop go through the PA (a Carslbro job, can't say what it is off the top of my head) while the guitar and harmonica are running separate amps. Again, as I say, this is strictly...

It's been asked before, but carry about amps?

100 watts is sufficient to be heard over a drummer who isn't going miked up. 100 watts in a terraced house is taking the p!ss. Most here might be running 1000 watts, and good on them, but we do occasional casual gigs in the pub or small venue to, say, 50 people? Never had a problem being heard...

I don't like to use the term practice amp. Practice doesn't have to mean sub 10 watts, trying not to upset the neighbours and afraid to be heard. I practice as much unplugged as I do through 120 watts in the studio. But! A concession. There are times when both volume and weight do need some...

    Hartke HS1200 / Kickback 15 repair!

Apologies for my late reply, I haven't checked in in some while. From Customer Service at samsontech.com* as of November 2011; I'm in the UK but this should sort you out hopefully. As far as I am informed via Korg UK, the Part Reference is 'VR 100KW RK11K1160106 (EQ)' I have the...

    Ghana Special

Great, something of Paul Simon's Graceland about this, I forget which one, 'I know what I know' maybe. Actually reminds me far more of an album that my folks used to play, wonderful African group who's name now I entirely forget. Given me reason to find out! cheers

    Hartke HS1200 / Kickback 15 repair!

No offence taken, it's a fair point. I would like to think though that if I did have a pop at it, I'd stop before I started stumbling! I tend to err on the side of caution so it might be as well ordering the new part, taking a closer look then reverting to a tech.. One of the reasons I had...
