cost. $7.50 for the jackplate & about an hour of work compared to $175 minimum here in NY to diagnose the problem. then more $$ to fix it. Also don't like combos. This was left at my house years ago.

I'm sorry, are you referring to me not understanding how these work? To be clear, the transistors in the head were burnt so I cut the top off, firmed up all the joints and did a great job turning it into a stand-alone 115.. It sounds fantastic..

hey man. I did something similar. I cut the top off and cut a hole in the back and just use it as a 115 cab. disconnected the horn altogether..

I was thinking about the HD cabinet. That's a nice setup! When i decide to upgrade the cab i'll definitely get it. Would love a lighter & more powerful cab.

i have a lh500 / 410xl. Not getting the bottom end i'm looking for. I get the bottom at home during practice with the addition of the 1x15 cab but that's too much to lug around to shows. Question: should i replace the amp with a lh1000 or replace the cab with HD115 & HD210 Thanks.
