Fender Is Dead In The Water - CEO makes their Cease and Desist worse

I heard about this and after giving this a good read I can understand some points and some just don’t make any sense. Copyright on the headstock I get. Trying to protect IP on a body shape after 70 plus years seems too little too late to the party. What’s next, IP protecting pickup styles, Jazz...

    Tobias Basses

Appreciate the response. Part of me wishes they were still built in USA, getting past the mental block that a lot of higher end instruments are now coming out of Indonesia and hybrid construction. Of course the cost would reflect that.

    Tobias Basses

Anyone that has purchased one of the newer releases of Tobias Basses under Gibson have anything to share after ownership. I know the current line is being made in Indonesia, perhaps the Cort factory but not sure. I thought I read something where they might start mailing them in USA again...

Trickfish EPA External Pre Amp Pedal

Does anyone have any experience with this pedal. It looks like a great preamp pedal. My only gripe is there is no level control for uniform gain when disengaging the pedal. I wonder why Trickfish designed it as such. It is described to be used as an always on pedal but then why the foot switch...

Yamaha BBP34 vs Fender P Bass

I owned a Yamaha BBP34. My only gripe was the bridge didn’t quite cover the string through body holes on the bass, one could see the string body holes protruding just past the end of the bass. Not sure if this was a one off. Would be interested to know if anyone else with a BBP34 observed this...

Need to get past the mental block of Made In USA and open my mind

Admittedly I have always looked at Made In USA as the high end of instruments, with the exception of Made in Japan ie Yamaha or made in Germany ie Warwick. And yes Fender did have some bad years with their USA line. At least that was the way it was when I started playing bass 35 years ago...

I appreciate all the feedback and suggestions, thank you 🙏. While researching I saw the new Darkglass Luminal Booster Ultra. Quite the piece of gear

I appreciate all the feedback and suggestions, thank you 🙏. While researching I saw the new Darkglass Luminal Booster Ultra. Certainly more than what I need but looks like a real fantastic piece of gear!

    3 band preamp pedal

I was looking at being able to have an active bass without installing an active preamp in my bass, then I would have the best of both worlds.

    3 band preamp pedal

There are lots of great preamp/DI pedals out there. I’m looking for a simple 3 band preamp pedal for my passive jazz bass. I don’t need all the extra features that a lot of the current offerings have, just a really clean great sounding premium preamp pedal. Has anyone tried or used the Demeter...

    USA Lakland Sonic Blue

Anyone have a pictures they can share of a USA Lakland in Sonic Blue? Pictures on the internet seems to vary quite a bit depending on lighting
