This is from Lakland's site. If you can't trust the maker's site, I guess anything goes...Anyone have a pictures they can share of a USA Lakland in Sonic Blue? Pictures on the internet seems to vary quite a bit depending on lighting
All of this is obviously entirely personal preference, but I hate the mint guard on Sonic blue, but put a white guard on this bass and I can't think of anything prettierI always thought Sonic Blue was nearly white in color. At least it is for Fender. I’d bet Lakland Sonic Blue would be very similar.

Fender should change the name to Barely Blue.I always thought Sonic Blue was nearly white in color. At least it is for Fender. I’d bet Lakland Sonic Blue would be very similar.

Perfection.I ordered a Lakland in sonic blue as a personal dream bass -- and I worried a lot about whether their version of it would be too dark, too light, whatever. I looked at pictures of different sonlc blue instruments for three months. Take-away: how sonic blue looks in a photograph has mostly only to do with how the photo is taken and processed. At the end of the day, the Lakland hue of sonic was perfect for me, not darker like a daphne and not quite as washed out as some Fender versions.

Tort?!?!This really helps thank you all. My order is a 44-94 in sonic blue with a tort pickguard.
Agree tort and sunburst for sure. What recommendations of pickguard for sonic blue? I think mint green also looks good, not a big fan of perloid on a pickguardTort?!?!
This is where tort belongs on a Lakland:
