What does it do on your low B? Jump around too much?

Weird quirk I noticed with the Studio One built in tuner. Tuning my bass I noticed the open E is labelled as E0. Shouldn't it be E1? I only tune with software, as I don't have a physical tuner. This was throwing me off whenever I was trying to learn theory and shopping for strings, etc, besides...
