Studio One Tuner 41Hz = E0?

Weird quirk I noticed with the Studio One built in tuner. Tuning my bass I noticed the open E is labelled as E0. Shouldn't it be E1?

I only tune with software, as I don't have a physical tuner. This was throwing me off whenever I was trying to learn theory and shopping for strings, etc, besides just playing. It also seems to be wrong for other notes. Made me think I had my strings tuned an entire octave too low, but the frequency checks out. It's a short scale bass, and I thought my strings were a little floppy, but they aren't that floppy, right? I saw a set of strings labelled "Subcontra" and the set had an E0 string. But I'm at E1, correct?

Open E on a standard tuned bass is E1, about 41 Hz. No idea why your tuner would be telling you otherwise.

I'm complaining about S1's tuner for years since I started using S1. it's the only software tuner that doesn't track my low B, for example. it's definitely not on par with Ableton's or Polytune VST, but E0=41Hz looks too broken.

What does it do on your low B? Jump around too much?

I recall it didn't catch it at all. nor fretted notes on the B string. 12th fret harmonic worked better, but not flawless as well (i.e. when I picked it, I wasn't sure if tuner is going to display anything; sometimes it did and sometimes not).

and yes, with my bass it was very slow to catch all notes. Ableton's tuner worked fast and flawless with the same bass and interface though.
