Thanks for your input! In your opinion, would I be better off running my amp bridged into the 2 Peaveys in parallel? Would the additional headroom help?

I'm currently running 2 subs -- Peavey Subcompact 15s, rated 400w program/200w continuous, powered by a QSC PLX3002 in stereo @ 550w per channel (8 ohms). I'm thinking of replacing the two Peaveys with one Yorkville Unity USC1 15" sub, rated 1200w program/???? continuous. I'll use the same QSC...

This exactly. You don't see professionals at large venues doing that. If he wants to brush up on some stuff, he should plug in some headphones (assuming he's not playing a piano).

I already made a new purchase, and selling the Walkabout was my plan to fund it. I didn't have the willpower to get the funds first.

You are correct -- 4 ohm speaker.

The combo does not have a the built-in dolly feature. I have a few conversations in progress, but the eBay countdown has begun.

The amp is 16 pounds and the cabinet is 45 pounds. So in combo mode, the whole unit is about 61 pounds (bathroom scale measurements).
