    Double Bass Boosting a Double Bass

    I play both an electric and upright through my rig, but lose a lot of my volume when I switch over to my upright. Would a pick-up booster (like Seymour-Duncan) work best to boost my output while maintaining tone and not creating lots of feedback? Thanks
