Bought a used '77 Fender Musicmaster in '82. Still have it. My advice to your original question of what to do with your first bass is to keep it if you possibly can. Years later it'll be interesting to look back & see where it all began for you.

Hey all, new to TalkBass and wanted to share this with everybody. Just got this and not sure who made it. It has a fretless neck and a truss rod cover from a 4005 bass. Some previous owner removed one of the neck inlays to make a leaping frog inlay on the body. Not sure if the Truss rod cover...
